Polo Shirt: To Wear or Not to Wear? Polo shirts are quite tricky to wear and not every woman can pull it off, but for those who can, this is a great staple in the wardrobe. Voluptuous women, especially the hourglass petites will find it difficult to pull off a polo shirt, as this can emphasize the bust. However, it does not mean that you can't wear it. You just have to wear it correctly. If you are on the short side and are well endowed in the bust department, then always wear you polo with the buttons open, to emphasize your neck and away from the chest. For petites, you need to create an illusion of length, so when wearing a polo shirt, pair it with mid-rise boot cut jeans. Polo was designed as active wear and although some people are happy to wear it with tailored trousers, it still suits better worn with jeans or slacks designed as active wear. If you want a more feminine style, go for polo shirts that are knitted and in soft fabric, as they will drape your body better. For a more feminine sexier style, wear polo with shorts and funky shoes but maybe not trainers and definitely not high-heeled shoes. If you have a slender androgynous figure, a polo shirt will look great on you. Just pair it with straight cut jeans, a pair of boots. Throw a jumper over it, or wrap the jumper around your hips, put on a pair of big sunglasses and off you go with your French chic look.
